      3rd Annual Hoops & Hops

Mercy Neighborhood Ministries, located in East Walnut Hills, is once again hosting one of the most unique fundraisers in Cincinnati. The 3rd Annual Hoops & Hops is being held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 6:00 pm at Purcell Marian High School. Attendees can watch NCAA tournament games on 70 inch large screen televisions while enjoying tasty food bites, a selection of local beers, and raffles. Admission is $10 at the door and attendees must be 21 years old.

The signature event of the evening is the $10,000 Half-Court Shot contest sponsored by Taft’s Ale House. Participating teams designate team members to take half-court shots and the winning team will take home the grand prize of $10,000. Other major event sponsors include Horan, Mercy Health, Messer Construction Co., Nelson Stark, and Peck Hannaford + Briggs.

This event is one of Mercy Neighborhood Ministries’ signature events and raises critical funds for MNM to fulfill its mission of “Educating for Life, Training for Employment, and Helping Seniors Age in Place”. For questions or information on how to participate in the $10,000 Half-Court Shot contest, please contact Aimee Shinkle, Director of Fundraising and Special Events at (513) 751-2500 ext. 204 or by e-mail at ashinkle@mnministries.org .

Mercy Neighborhood Ministries, formed in 2007 with the merger of three smaller organizations, promotes the empowerment of individuals with a special focus on disadvantaged women and seniors through proven programs that educate; foster self-sufficiency and support enhanced quality of life. We excel at stabilizing and improving the quality of life for those living in disadvantaged circumstances. We employ a unique approach to workforce development and aging population and support individuals as they progress toward self-sufficiency through our adult education, job readiness and skills training, and employment and retention programs. In addition, MNM assists seniors to remain living independently in the community for as long as possible through our senior and home care services.
